I totally missed the part about these being wired cameras! I was so bummed when I opened them and realized my mistake. I have a couple of other LA View cameras that are wireless and they've always been great quality and the batteries last so long. I don't have any real way to use wired cameras outside my home without a lot of extra extension cords and wires so I set them up inside to give them a try. Not sure why the sd card of the same brand is not working. Everytime i select storage it tries to format but then fails. I tried unplugging the cameras, removing sd cards and the reinserting them, then plugging cameras back and it still gives me the format failed error. I really love this security camera. It is a bit hard to hang up but Ive never hung any type of cameras so it can be my lack of. The night vision is amazing. It doesn't look like your watching something from the 70s. The picture quality is amazing as well. Looks like your watching normal TV on a fancier TV. I have had some experience with security cameras and reviewed one several weeks ago. These two cameras are a great deal and cheaper than the main ones that I bought for my home. Picture: The picture quality is just as good if not better than my more expensive security cameras that I have owned for awhile. And the night view with color is amazing. The way that the camera can do this is that it turns on its security light. Web browser: I like having the ability to look at my cameras from a web browser or windows software and these have the ability, however, I have not had success with that at this time and that is not the fault of the cameras but most likely the way my computer is set up. I still wish these type of cameras came with dedicated windows software. If they did, I probably would change out my older security cameras due to all the extra functions these have. Alexa: I have not set up the cameras with Alexa yet as my first attempt was a failure. I did not go into detail on the directions but I will be working on that later and will update. I have one of the cameras pointed at our garden and my wife is excited to see the garden through the camera just by asking Alexa. So I need to do that soon as possible. Price: These cameras and some of the newer ones are such a great bargain due to their clarity and functions. They are also about half to a third of the cost of my other cameras. Overall: I have no reservations highly recommending these cameras. Great features and great picture quality. They work great on my iphone and you can even call both of them up at the same time through the app that they provide. I just need to figure out how to bring them up on my computer as I am not always on my phone.

This is a mid-high level camera quality for a mid-low level camera price. Onvif is a plus. The quality is good as other models I bought before. I know they use the same factory that manufacture outdoor/indoor cameras for brands such as eufy, Wyze so I can trust the hardware quality. For the software side, I have uploaded complaints before and was responded very quickly. For the connection they usually are much better than some generic brands that I purchased before. This is a test run and I’m very happy about it. Will pick more when I setup the security cam system for the house.

I just got this camera and want to install on in my garage and another on at the backyard. I haven’t start install it yet. But the instructions is very clear and seems very easy to install. I think it is nice to have them to keep my house safe and monitor my house when I am not at home.

I got this as an additional security option, and it did not disappoint! This camera works great outside and has great image quality! One great benefit is it can attach to higher points on your house and captures distances other doorbell cameras are unable to view. It detects almost every sounds and movement. I was very impressed by this camera, especially all the added app features. Durable, affordable, great night vision, and detects even the smallest sounds and slightest movement. Those are a really nice security camera set. They can be installed anywhere your WI-Fi reaches. Perfect to scale up your home security system, and invest in the peace of mind you'll receive from your outdoor camera setup. You can even have an indoor camera and video doorbell, since they are equipped with a two-way speaker system, so you can keep watch on your home and deter intruders, all without needing to fiddle with or fuss over wiring. I also liked that those cameras were lightweight, compared to some other model out there, which are much easier to handle and place in area where not too much mounting hardware is needed (or possible to use). Each camera is also equipped with a slot to host a micro-SD card. Although, keep in mind that none of those cards are provided in this kit, and would have to be purchased separately if you want to use this option. Wireless smart cams generally rely on your home internet connection to function, but that isn't the case with those cameras since they can also save footage locally in case of an outage. Otherwise, they only have a cable to connect to power (with the included power blocks). The video signal will only go over WI-Fi. There is an app you can use to monitor and set those cameras up. I have tried it a bit and so far, it seems to be responsive, which is usually not the case for all CCTV apps these days. So, that’s a good plus. However, I just wanted this set to add to my existing CCTV system, so I ended up not using the app to monitor those, but my own DVR system instead, which was compatible with those cameras. Night vision was also quite good, and I was able to read license plates of cars passing by without problems. So yeah, overall, I am very happy with those little CCTV cameras. One of my neighbors had a car stolen out of the alley my garage connects to awhile back, so I knew I needed to upgrade my 720p cameras to something better. The thief ignored my vehicle and the one neighbor's vehicle which was in the view of my lower resolution cameras, but I still didn't have enough detail to see much about him to help my neighbor get his car back. This camera worked out great for me since I already bought in to the LaView family of cameras and devices so I could have a wireless doorbell camera (sadly, my house does not have internal wiring for doorbells, so I couldn't get a Ring like I originally wanted), and this one has worked great for what I needed. I am impressed with the quality of the picture on images and video and that the camera allows for recording "events" only, unlike my old cameras which have to record 24/7. It makes finding actual note-worthy situations much easier and saves some space on the SD card. For the price point I cannot think of too many other cameras that offer this kind of image quality. I like the 2 way communication, it has come in handy from time to time. Compared to my old cameras too, it seems to drop off the wi-fi a lot less, and is way better at getting back on the wi-fi by itself than my old ones. I sometimes have to run out to the garage and reset my wi-fi range extender for my old cameras. The UI in the app takes a little getting used to, but I would say that applies to almost any new device, so its not really an issue to me. I believe I'll slowly be upgrading my camera system to more of these, because I just can't beat that price for the peace of mind they bring. Highly recommended. ——By Amazon Customer
