We purchased this lock to replace another one that wasn't working so the hole was already cut in our door. From looking at the instructions, however, if you need to drill a hole in your door there is a template provided and they outline which one to use based on door thickness. It was super simple to install and the door plate lined up with the existing holes from the previous lock. The functionality is basic, which I like - no bluetooth or wifi needed. It has a switch on the inside that slides between locked/unlocked position. The batteries must be installed for that to work, but I enjoy that feature. They keypad was very easy to program. It allows you to enter a master code as well as user codes that can be changed if you have sitters, etc. in and out. You can also use a fake code, which adds random digits before you enter the actual entry code, to prevent someone learning your passcode. I am very pleased with the quality and easy functionality of this lock.

Loved the convenience of this lock except the batteries died after one week. tried again with fresh batteries, dead after a week. Put in brand new copper top batteries, went away a couple days (so no use of the lock at all), returned to find the batteries were dead. I contacted the seller and they sent me a new unit, which works perfectly! Thanks for resolving my issue.

This is my 3rd different unit. I was just not lucky with them. First one that I bought wasn’t working properly and I couldn’t get the finger scanned so I’d use it via finger print. Second that I purchased had small round circles with 3 numbers in it. You have to have small fingers to be precise otherwise, you’ll get locked out and would have to use the key to enter, that’s defeats the purpose of keyless entry. This unit is amazing. When you get locked out 3 times in the row vforgetting your keys at home and had to wait for someone to come and unlock your door for you, that’s too much. Ever since I purchased that lock, I have zero regrets. Even, my dad, who is very sceptical and old school, approved the purchase. I haven’t used the key to enter my home since then. The lock is very easy to install, very easy to program. I used YouTube and it was so clear and easy steps that my 8yo would be able to program. I do recommend it.

Purchased a competitor's lock and was super disappointed. Took a chance on this one, and wow, what a pleasure! Very easy installation and setup, and so easy to use - works perfectly every time. Just touch the "2" and it's locked, and you can hear it "sizzle" when that occurs. 4-digit combo numbers work flawlessly, and I have set up several "guest" numbers over the past 6 months. It has survived torrential rains and freezing temperatures, too. Stainless steel remains attractive and maintenance free. I will buy this one again.

This keypad lock works great! Opening box with instructions looks complicated, but followed instructions step by step & was fairly simple. Had to grind opening in door a slight bit to fit. Total install took about an hour including simple programming code (less than 3 min.). Flat black looks fairly decent too.

It looks great, but I need to recognize IT IS NOT EASY TO INSTALL, it was our first time installing one of them and probably it was the reason, but, we were ready for returned it thinking it came broken. After 5, 6 or 10 times trying it out with the key we finally could figure it out (it wasn't working with the code or the key a truly headache) And after trying this and that, it worked uffff I'm glad it did because I loved how it looks like (sorry I can not provide any tip because still not sure how it worked)Now it is working fine and I hope it keeps doing it .

I use this as a child proof measure on my internal basement door. I would not recommend for an exterior door. Very cheap, and the key is a joke and I bent it the first time I used it. If you need to keep a child out of a room it works but would be easily defeated by an adult with a screwdriver.

At first I thought it was defective. However, after playing around with it, it does work. The key thing to note, is when you are putting in your pin to unlock the door, you must put No where do the instructions say that. Which caused a ton of frustration, until it was figured out.

These keypad locks are perfect for areas in your home where you need to keep things locked up (i.e. from your kids with sticky fingers), but need quick and easy access. I have two Schlage FE595 keypads in my home already, so when these Hugolog locks went on sale, I purchased several to try out. It took only a few minutes to install and program, and have been working flawlessly. Form factor is clean and modern, and looks great with alongside my other bronze lever knobs. Highly recommended!

Love this handle set. It looks classy and was easy to install. Was going to give it 5 stars but after 3 weeks it no longer opens consistently with the code. Not sure what is happening but one day it works and next day it doesn't. We tried it with the door open to make sure the deadbolt striker was binding but nope. Didn't take the code even with the door open. Then an hour later it worked fine. Will have to read up on it and find out why.

The lock is fine although I wouldn't call it a true deadbolt. It does have a locking anti jimmy pin on the bolt but still a typical passage style bolt. The provided key/key cylinder lock is a very basic quality design. Utilizing blade tumblers with an Ilco style keyway this is not high security. I wish Hugolog had made this like their basic deadbolt (which I also own and recommend) without a cylinder lock altogether. That said, as a passage lock, garage door to house lock or any area where high security is not needed this is a fine electronic lock. The installation was easy, the programming was easy and the operation is easy. I find the features of this to be superior to a Schlage electronic lock I also use. I would recommend this lock with the mentioned caveats.

The handle and keypad are different colors. So i was disappointed.

I really wanted to love this product but it didn't work. It was very easy to install but I couldn't get in from outside via the code or pass thru. I could get outside from inside just fine. I worked with customer support until I got ghosted. I sent pictures and a video showing install and that it did not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled 5 times in case it was something weird on my end.

Although I had some trouble installing the first one, the next two were a breeze. These are great locks, and it's so nice not to need a key. It makes going into the house much easier. My main reason for recommending this product is the Hugolog outstanding customer service. When I reached out to them after struggling with the first lock installation they responded immediately. This item worked great for about two weeks, then it would not retract the deadbolt. Took it apart and found the main drive connector snapped. A trip to Ace and about $6 fixed it with a heavier-duty part. Worked ever since. So now it works much better.

The first one we ordered didn’t have a key or instructions. The second one my husband took a part because he found a metal spring in the box, after 2 hours figuring out where the metal spring goes.... everything went smooth with the programming.

I've had this lock for almost 4 months, and it is working great so far. It met my needs for daily use and convenience. The reason I picked the lock with this stylish handle is for it being more applied. For instance, you can still use your wrist to press the handle when your hands are full with shopping bags and so on. But the traditional sphere-style door knobs can't do this.

I am attracted by its color and design. I really love its special frost bronze color. It looks very nice, and will be fantastic to have a key free as an alternative of a traditional lock. There is also a backup key included in the package, so I don't need to worry about not being able to unlock the lock when the batteries run out.

I like this lock for its human engineering design. There are two modes of this lock—the passing mode and the normal mode. In the passing mode, a pin code is not required to unlock the door. My kids have been always getting in and out a lot during the day. So it is very inconvenient to enter the code and open the door every time.

We purchased this lock because my husband wanted to upgrade a simple keyed knob to a smart combination lock. This lock should fit nicely if your door is relatively standard. This installation is very easy. But we had trouble when setting the password. We have to read the manual serval times and finally found a reminder in an invisible place. We need to change the default master code prior to programing other codes.

okay! if you are a forgetful person like me then this is for you. somehow the thing i forget the most is my house key!! not car key, not any other key but house key!!! so yup this is a solution for me. i dont have to hide my spare key no more. lol i love how they have a video to help with the setup. so far so go. i being using it for about two weeks now, no problem yet and it works wonder. ohhhh and i gonna have to love that auto lock. no need to worry if i lock the door when i leave the house. my key problem is solved with this hugolog door lock.

It was a bit challenging at first to install this as I hadn't installed a door knob into a new door before. What I did was use a hole saw to cut a hole on the door, then also drilled a hole into the door frame to put the latch. After getting the holes right, I was able to put this door lock into the door hole very easily, as well as the latch that comes with this kit. There are instructions for programming this door knob, so that wasn't too hard to figure out.

Love this door lock! This is my third electric door lock, and this is the most easy one to install, it is amazing that even I can install this door lock with no problem! I watched the video twice before I started my project, and did it step by step as the video teaches, and it took me less than 1 hour to finish. My first door lock, it is another brand door lock, it took my friend more than 4 hours to finish the installation, because the instruction is not detailed enough. This one, super easy and smooth. And I have been enjoyed this keyless door lock more than 2 weeks, I don't need to worry about the door key, which was a night mare to me, not anymore, key free, no more nightmares! Hardware install was ok. I had a little issue with setting the code and get it to lock. The problem is the manual instructions mention just put in the number and press the * (asterisk) to finalize the setting. Well that didn't work so after 15 minutes I rewatched the install video and it showed you have to press the # button not asterisk. Once that's figured out it worked like a charm.

This keyless latch worked better than I hoped! I put this on one of my outside doors that only had a single key handle-lock. The keyhole was getting worn out and difficult to put the key into it. This was an excellent replacement for that door handle. I like the option of unlocking the handle so that a code is not required for times during the day when the kids are coming in and out a lot.
