Junk... Don't buy... Roll the dice on any other camera but these...

Works great and I love the fact that you can talk to whomever is at your door!

I now have 5 LaView cameras. This being the first wireless rechargeable. It has a good 40-50' range. Why not 4/5 star is because their entry level wifi cameras have features in the software app that this camera doesn't. I'm annoyed in that I bought the same brand (this camera) because I want all my cameras to work the SAME. All of their cameras lack the grid square recognition software feature. That is when the entire screen is broken up into grid squares on your screen. Then you simply choose which squares the alarm pays attnetion to. Any movement that is NOT in those selected squares is ignored (think moving tree branches, leaves on ground, sidewalk traffic). This camera (even though using the SAME app), uses different setting terms in that same app. For instance, this camera has PIR, while my other 4 do not. Finally, there are other LaView brand cameras on the market that will not work with the same app. So I have to install a different app for their different cameras. The five cameras I have now all show in one app and four to a screen. Losing confidence in this brand when I can't count on their cameras to ALL be able to be managed from ONE APP ON MY PHONE

Really easy to set up and install. The rechargeable battery doesn't last as long as stated, in my experience, but I charge them once a month which is no hassle at all as I use my phone charger for the deed. The cameras are clear both day and night and with SD card backup as well as a reasonable cloud storage service offered, you are covered. The best thing is I run them through my Alexa 5.

Setup was super easy and fast using the LaView app. The human detection on this camera is scary good and I mean that it is SCARY because it literally picks up people even at night from 30+ feet away with very good accuracy. In the light it picks up everyone all the time without basically any error. The battery lasts quite a long time for my friend, over a month if there are not many people who pass by his warehouse but only about a week if there is alot of action. That is quite variable battery life so he just ran a long cable to leave it plugged in all the time. Now the battery is sort of a "backup battery" because the camera has its own memory. Overall he is happy with it .

Everything picture quality battery was great. The only issue I had was the history has no date time stamp on it when you're sliding it back and forth. Very hard to find something recorded

Doesn't stay on. Have to manually wake it in the app and I just don't believe it work to help me if it was needed in a time I wasn't expecting something to happen. So if I have to know when to turn it on. It defeats the purpose. Could have got a regular camera If I wanted that. Has good night vision and everything seems OK. Just doesn't do much on its own. Like recording what its are for

The camera seems to be sturdy and of good quality. Installation is very easy. The 1080P video resolution is good for most people. If you need more details in the surveillance video then you should get a 4K security camera which could be pricey. Motion detection and night vision features are pretty good. The battery life is impressive. The wide-angle view can cover a pretty large area. I have no complaints about this camera. It works as advertised. I would recommend it.

Battery life is good, a little bit short if there is heavy use ( lots of triggers for example). Great for outdoor use. Night vision is good; sensitivity and detection is quite good as well. The camera seems to be recording all the time, but would save the clips a few seconds before the triggering objects show up, so you have the complete clip if there is any motion. The most convenient thing is that it is wireless, great for areas that no wires can be connected.

I really like this camera and the app that goes with it. I've had no issues at all using this camera. Batteries last me about 3 weeks and I don't take the camera down I just run an extension to the camera to charge it. It notifies me come on no matter where I am, when someone comes in my side door and also takes a still shot and a video saved to the SD card. The picture is really good even at night. It sets up very easy and stays connected to my Wi-Fi. It's been out in-30 degree weather, snow, and rain and has worked flawlessly in all conditions I highly recommend this camera

Great night vision.

Solid unit with good range and decent video quality. the app works fine. sometimes you have to wait for it to connect as it "wakes up" the camera. this is due to it using a deep sleep state which is how you get the battery life. worth it for that convenience. pretty solid quality day and night. I do wish it had onboard person detection and would include a screen shot in notifications. it seems to survive the winter and being snowed on just fine. I have a wee little 1watt micro usb solar panel attached to it and that seems to be enough to keep it topped up. never saw it get below 80% The one issue is the camera seems to crash every now and then (says camera offline) and I have to go out and restart it. so maybe some stability improvements i firmware. hopefully the issue is software and not hardware. or it could just be a fluke either way it means don't stuff this camera somewhere that's hard to get too :-) range is good. I have it about 45ft from the route and it seems to handle that just fine.

This camera has exceeded what I thought it was going to be like. One question I have is that are you able to view your recorded video from the SD card remotely at any time...even if you don't subscribe the cloud service. Answer: YES! I can access the camera at any time to see a live feed or to review my recorded videos. If you want a wireless, easy solution for a security camera...I highly recommend this one.

I've been using this camera for a couple of weeks now. I'm very impressed with the picture quality. I think it's a good camera and I have no questions about the app. That thing says, it doesn't quite meet my specific needs. The reason is, I need to attach it to a tree and I don't want to use screws to do so. I have been able to attach other battery-operated cameras with a zip tie and tape, but this one is uniform in shape, so there isn't much for the zip tie to catch on and hold. Also, since I'm using it in a wooded area, I must say that the huge reflective area makes it quite conspicuous. I would like it to blend more in with nature, meaning not such a huge shiny area. Barring these specific needs seems like a great surveillance camera if you don't mind it being conspicuous.

Setup and installation were very easy. Just mount, screw the battery security camera into the base, and that it didn’t have to run power or network cables. The camera connects quickly when I access it from the app on my phone. I can look outside of my house from where I am working. I love that! I strongly recommended this camera for those who do not like to spend a lot of time running power wires or network cables around the house. Of course, You must have a fast internet connection.

I set this camera up to keep an eye on my vegetable garden. I have to say; this is an impressive little camera. The pic/video quality is good. It is a very easy setup process. Don't forget to buy a micro SD card to record your video.

This camera is way much better than what I expected. I had over 10 chickens just disappeared. I had 2 game cameras and a motion light inside the chicken yard and still got nothing. I finally decided to buy a security camera. Although my friends and family thought I was a little crazy... I got the perpetrator on the first night! A weasel! This is a great security camera. I would recommend this to anyone I know.

I purchase the product abt 2 wks ago and I charged the battery first day when I received the product. I still have 95% of battery today. The instruction is easy to follow and set up. The camera quality of picture is very clear. Love the product and definitely worth to buy.

Clear photo with the night vision and I think it will hold up well to inclement weather over time. Not that difficult to link up or install. Great motion detection sensors. Triggers when it is supposed to so far. Clear audio. Simple to set up good angles and crisp photos and video. Easily links up with other viewers so family can help keep an eye out for porch pirates etc.

I'll start out by saying the video and audio are great on this camera. The 32GB expansion option is awesome but it does not come with a 32bg card, that is sold separately. As you can see it takes great still images and the video quality is pretty good. Now let's do the bad stuff. Out of the box it had 92% battery, the product is described as having a 200-day life cycle. after one nite the battery is now reading 70% from a full charge the nite before. I will keep checking it but seems to be something going on there. The directions are a bit tuff to get through and when you use the barcode link to download the app it takes you to a Chinese webpage which I added in the pics. The fact that it can only use a 2.4ghz connection when all my wifi adapters run on 5g which is pretty much standard now for routers is puzzling but not terrible, still seems to get a good connection but just a bit of an inconvenience.

This is a really good WiFi camera. The app is solid and was to use and setup the cameras with. Has notifications and automation as well as Alexa comparability. Really god picture quality even at night. Long lasting battery that can last a month no problem. Outdoor weather proof. Comes with hardware for mounting Does not come with a SD Micro Memory card.

This is one of the better cameras I’ve used, I also like the app that it runs through, it’s simple and straightforward. The camera seems to be well made, it’s heavy and feels like good quality. The base it’s connected to is easy to mount. The camera picture looks nice and clear, high resolution, and has a nice wide angle. Night vision is also good and clear. It alerts when it senses motion and will alert you on your phone. I love being able to listen to what’s going on around the camera and also being able to speak through it, the sound comes out very loudly and clear. As for the battery, I haven’t been using it very long so I’m not sure if it will last the 200 days they claim from the charge but it’s still going strong and I will add an update once I see how long the charge lasts. It needs to charge about 12 to 14 hours each time. Depending on where you have the camera, you could just run a long cord to it for power. It does have cloud storage that you can purchase, or just put in your own SD card. It will also download to your phone storage. It was really easy to setup and it will also work with Alexa. I’m not super technical, I’m just using it as basic security at the house. I like everything about it so far and would recommend this for indoor or outdoor use.

I put the app on all the phones of those who live in our household. This includes my 2 in laws who are 63 & 70. My mother in law who is 63 is fairly tech savvy and can navigate basic functions of the app fairly easily. My 72 year old father in law is different & rarely uses his phone apps. I taught him how to use it & even he knows how to navigate the app to check up on notifications. He’s not an expert, but he can do the basics & at least see who is at the door. I got 2 cameras from this company. Because they’re from the same company, I can look at both camera feeds at the same time through the app. This is a great feature when you are trying to see what’s happening on both cameras simultaneously. The app gives you a 30 day free trial. The only difference between the standard free plan & the purchased plan is that the purchased one gives you an overview of who/what triggered the camera. It’s very easy to see how many times it was triggered in a day & very easy for my older in laws to navigate. The free plan requires you to swipe through the days timeline to see who triggered the camera. Convenience is the only difference, & we have already purchased the yearly plan ($60) as my in laws are already familiar with the navigations of the app. It’s possible to use the free version just fine, but I am lazy and just want to have a list of all the times my camera was set off. The voice control is like a walkie-talkie. If you are speaking, you will not hear the other side until you click your microphone off. It’s one way communication, so you cannot just leave your mic off. You have to turn it off so that you can hear the other side. I’ve used this function quite a bit when family members try to stop by unexpectedly (quarantining). I can hear them fine & the outside speaker is pretty loud- works great. The only issue I have with this camera is the sensitivity. It usually activates a bit late, & often times I get videos of the people when they are about to walk away and out of view. This isn’t very functional, but compared to other cameras I’ve used it’s a huge step up. I’ve been using this for a month & a half and barely charged it last week. The battery life is awesome and it’s very easy to take down and reinstall again. My last camera had to be charged every 2-3 weeks. This one lasted 5 solid weeks with CONSTANT notifications because I had it aimed higher & facing the road. I have aimed it lower so that it will not record every car going by. The battery life should last a lot more than 5 weeks now.

This camera is heavy. There seems to be a big battery inside. When I hold this camera, I can feel that battery is moving around inside. Somehow it's not secured in place. Anyway, it doesn't affect its functions. Since it's heavy, tightening the bracket is hard. The camera head keeps going down gradually. I used all my hand force to tighten it and then heard a crack sound. Not sure if I have broken anything. The manufacturer should consider using metal for the bracket for such a heavy thing. I mounted the camera on a tree to look at my house. A ladder is required for accessing the device. Therefore I wouldn't want to do recharging often. After I installed it in the first week, it was doing pretty bad. The battery dropped 20% every day. After a week, it just stopped working. At that time, I was regretting getting this product. However, after recharging it again, MAGICALLY, it has lasted five weeks, and the battery is going strong and still has 50%. I am delighted with the performance. It is a mystery for me. I didn't run a firmware upgrade. I wonder if it upgraded by itself. The camera image is clear, and the night vision is fantastic. All functions work as expected except waking up the device. The device seems to have a sleep-and-wake cycle. When it's sleeping, I can't connect to it. No matter how many times I click "Wake Up," it just won't work. However, if I wait for 5 to 10 minutes and try it again, it will work. My recharging solution is to use a high-capacity power bank. The recharging is slow. I just left my power bank on the tree until it's fully charged. I don't mind doing it every two months if the camera battery can last that long. By the way, it doesn't come with an SD card. I got one for it since I only want to store recordings locally. I didn't try their cloud service. Without the cloud service, I can still access the device and watch recordings on the SD card remotely.

Love the camera. Battery last long. I use it in my reefer trailer to keep an eye on forklift drivers for loading/unloading. Had my trailer damaged by forklift driver before and they rusfused the claim because i had no proof. Now i can record everything.

The cameras work very well, and I’m glad I was able to get the cameras. I put one in the backyard and another to surveil our driveway. Installation was very easy and the manual is very thorough on setting up the app and cameras. The cameras quality is nice as well and I like how I can adjust the detection sensitivity to avoid getting a bunch of false alarms.

I nneded cameras for amexterior occasion where power was not an option. These cameras are easy to set up and can be placed just about anywhere. You can add a micro SD card to record or subscribe to a cloud service. The APP set up was easy as were the cameras. Picture quality is clear; however, the night vision could be improved. Allows for two way communication which my other cameras do not have. Overall a sturdy and rugged camera.

This is truly a great set of cameras. They are a little pricey but you get two cameras with great detail, night vision, more mounting options because of the antennas they still get a good signal. I have had these cameras up and working for over a week and the batteries still have almost a full charge. The picture is clear and so easy to view. Motion sensing and detection notifications to your mobile device. I have honestly not seen many cameras that perform as well as these. You do not need a base station and it seems that you do not have a cap on how many devices you can connect. I only wish to be able to charge them without taking them down but a portable charger may be the way to take care of that problem. I recommend these over other brands! Truly great cameras. I will be replacing others with this same set in the future.

I installed it at night and was blown away by the image quality compared to the one I had. I would say the night vision is almost better than the regular image and we have absolutely no lights outside our building. It’s easy and clear to see anyone near home or coming by even in the completely dark night. Night vision I set on automatic and I did not get images in colors, it is black and white; maybe because it works with IR light. It would be much better if it is in colors at night. It has been set up for over a week and the camera is working with zero problem. Give it five stars because it does what I need it to. I’ve convincing my brother to replace his outdoor camera with this brand and I am still looking forward to the updated version of this camera.

Picture quality is great. I bought this camera to replace another brand of which the live feed stopped working. I was so excited when I received this camera and I do not regret purchasing it. I really love the 1080p image quality and the wide angel 130°. And they did fulfill as it advertised. That wide angle was actually all I wanted for my yard. It covers a wide range of which I love! No need for 2 cameras as this one covers the whole area! Haha, it did save a budget! The daylight pictures are crystal clear in colors. The movement shown on the picture sometimes freezes but I think it blames on my WIFI. The range I test it to be around 8-10 meters for clear images. Even if you zoom in the picture, the image is still clear and you can recognize license plates in a clear image n not like a blob or fuzzed out. I am satisfied with the image quality so far with this price.

The shipment was delayed but it’s worth waiting and the price!!! It was nicely packaged and I really love the design. Setup was fast and easy which impressed me a lot! just need 7 or 9 minutes to finish the Wi-Fi connection. Download the Laview app and follow the instructions to set it up on 2.4Ghz. The whole process is extremely simple. It is battery model and I can directly install the camera outside in front of the yard without troubles. I use the camera to monitor the surrounding while I'm not at home especially if there is any delivery! The best part I love is the app since I can remotely control the camera via my phone n I can even talk through it with the two-way audio function. Awesome feature. The camera runs smoothly with great quality and the app is also friendly to use. Overall, I am satisfied with this camera.

I bought these cameras for extra security at my home. The motion detection works great! I worried about the night vision but it really is clear. It looks as bright as daylight. I was really impressed. The customer service is outstanding as well. I had two issues, one was the cameras would go offline but that was my fault because our WiFi was too weak for our house in general. We needed a stronger router. Once we fixed that I never had that problem again. Other issue was with the app. I emailed the customer service address and explained the problem. Someone responded in less than an hour! Very impressed. It was fixed that night. Charging the battery is really easy too. I would def recommend these cameras.

I have been looking for real wireless security cameras and had to return the Ring cameras I tried because they could not connect to our wifi (maybe a wi-fi extender can be used, but I hope to avoid this). The Laview camera can be connected to our wi-fi without any problems, even if the camera is located on the barn near the router. Setup and installation are very simple, the image quality is good, and Laview works perfectly on my Android phone. It is easy to view and save images, and it also has a two-way voice function, which makes me very satisfied.

I chose this camera after going through the reviews and the details and I am happy with this one in my front door. It looks nice and durable that withstands extreme weathers. We been through rain and freezing cold but no problems. It is IP65 waterproof-rated and I can feel the weight on my hands, which is not cheap at all. It’s extremely easy to hook up and could be used right away with no drop offs. The pic quality is better than I expected and the battery works perfectly outside. There are a lot of settings and options for the camera. The two-way audio is decent and I can hear and talk to people with it. Nice experience with this camera. Hopefully it will hold up in the long term. Over all I’m very impressed and recommend you to buy the camera, you’ll love it. Great price for an awesome camera for sure!!!

I needed something quick and reasonable to take care of my front entryway while I'm gone for some days. Searched a lot of outdoor cameras and found this highly rated reasonably priced camera. Easy to install, you need to connect 2.4G Wifi, guess what it literally took less than 1 minute to setup. All you need is to Install the APP, turn on the camera, Add the camera and scan the QR code in front of the camera and its up and running. Quickly set up ever for any wifi camera. Installing the camera only took 4-5 mins. Result of the camera is also great for both day and night. I can easily read the license plates. Battery is also very powerful. After all the testing for motion detection it remains the same even on third day. Motion detection is very efficient, It saves the footage on cloud right after it detects any movement. You can adjust the motion detection to high or low. Audio is also crisp and one can easily communicate both ways.

This is my 2nd Laview camera. I am very happy with the purchase of my 1st camera (smaller white camera), and this new one is a nice addition. The new camera, for which I am writing this review, is even better than the previous one. What I like about the new camera is the night visibility and the great AI human detection. There is an option to use a subscription based cloud system or an SD card. I am using the SD card (it accepts up to 128GB). Given the better night visibility of this camera I am using this outdoor and mounted the old camera indoor. This camera, like the previous one, is really easy to setup using the Laview App, you just download the app, turn camera on, follow simple directions on screen and the camera is ready to go in 30 seconds.

This is a Great Outdoor Security Camera!!!!! I bought this camera to add to my already home indoor security system, It was easy to install, easy to download app, easy to make adjustments, great to vue with full HD on Video & Pictures, the motion detection is excellent, Great signal from the 2 antennas that comes with it, I like the fact that it is battery operated and you can add a SD card, it comes with 2 way communication, you can access history, you can delete any unwanted pics or videos right from the app itself, all & all I am very satisfied with this product and would highly recommend this Security Camera for anyone looking for a easy to operate product for Security, especially for this price!!!!! :)

I have this watching the front door, in a shaded, dry location. Notification to the cell phone app works well, night vision is acceptable video quality, and it appears that the battery holds a charge for months if you don't access this camera constantly. Camera signs on readily to your WiFi if you follow the instructions. Note: there is no free cloud storage plan included; I’m using it only with a micro SD card.

I bought this camera for security purposes. It detects motion of people coming up to my door. I can take live pictures of my front property and road if necessary. Night vision is good and I love having no cables. The picture quality is great and I’m debating buying another one for my back porch. You always have people reviewing everything and sometimes you don’t know what to believe. This camera is built well and after several days of use my battery life is still at 100%. So overall it’s a great product for the price! I did purchase another camera to place on my back porch. The first one did what I expected and then some. I bought SD cards for both and I like the freedom to be able to move them around my home without difficulty. I still think it’s a great camera for this price.

Awesome camera the quality of the video and image was superb, the use and setup were simple and easy to install, being able to see the video with the app and setup with motion detection and recording was easy to setup, I install a 128gb micro SD card though u have option of using monthly or yearly cloud service, signal is strong just had a storm it didn't lose it signal strength and is well build for the environment, battery life span last long fully charge u don't worry about for a while, overall enjoyed the use and quality it built have bought other usually water leak in this one has withstood the texas heat, humidity, and this harsh thunder storm.

Our neighborhood has been having some unwanted guests in their backyard lately so we needed something to monitor our side gate entryway. This security camera was very easy to use with no wires at all, it is simple and connected to wifi and app easily. The picture and night vision quality is good and has 2 way audio function. This is a good exterior security camera and it includes everything needed to install including mounting hardware. Motion detection works great and you can receive notifications on your phone if there is any movement. Excellent product highly recommendable.

We live in a closed community, so we never see the need for a security system in our home. However, someone cut the wire in one of our cars a few months ago. When I found this wireless camera, I thought it would be perfect because we need to use it outdoors and the price is perfect. This camera has all the functions I want, and the picture quality is also very good, especially the night vision function. We bought it to help us detect the movements of strangers, so as to better protect our property. Very satisfied with this purchase!

I am not one to write reviews on every product I purchase, good, bad or indifferent, I usually just don't write them. But I absolutely felt compelled to write one on these cameras. First off I want to say I am one of the least tech savvy people you will ever meet, and these cameras were perfect for me!! Once you download the app to your phone or ipad it truly is as simple as follow the basic step by step instructions. I will give you one little bit of advice, allow plenty of time for the cameras to charge in advance of the day you plan on doing your setup and install, it says allow 8 to 16 hours and you'll need every bit of it. I had 4 cameras and charged them the day before and then setup each one and then installed them. Once again, great product! If anything changes or I experience any technical or user difficulties I will do a follow up here, but so far so good.

Following the steps in the manual, I installed the camera and APP, and quickly set up the camera. It works very well. The video is smooth and the picture quality is very good. I can see clear images during the day and night, which makes me very satisfied. I can watch videos not only on my mobile phone, but also on my computer. I can even share the video with your family , so that my wife and I can see what's going on at home while traveling. I like batteries cameras, because they are not as cumbersome as wires, which is why I bought them. Overall, this camera is great for monitoring any area you need.
